The league called on all to unite behind the newly elected leadership.
The ANCYL in the Mpumalanga province has welcomed the outcomes of the ANC regional congresses over the weekend.
The league said they were happy that provincial leader Tim Mashele was elected in the Bohlabela ANC regional executive committee.
Mashele’s deputy Trevor Nkosi was also elected into the Gert Sibande ANC REC on Saturday.
Other PEC and REC members of the league were also elected into the ANC RECs, including Nkangala ANCYL leader Mduduzi Nkosi who was elected into the Nkangala ANC REC.

“However, we will continue to lobby for a total take over from the old guard,” provincial spokesman Bheki Sithole said in a statement.
“[This is] scientific prove[sic] that the youth is ready to take the baton from the current generation of leaders and continue with the journey of making South Africa a better and more prosperous society,” he said.
Speedy Mashilo was re-elected as Nkangala ANC chairman, Muzi Chirwa, Gillion Mashego as well as Ngrayi Ngwenya as chairman of Gert Sibande, Bohlabela and eHlanzeni respectively.
“We call upon the elected leadership to now focus on the critical work of commissions and emerge with radical policies that will change the lives of our people for the better,” Sithole said.
“We trust that as we engage on policy matters preparing for the ANC policy conference later this month, we will be guided by ANC values and the Freedom Charter to ensure that our people benefit from the wealth of the land,” he said.
