Ingredients:
4 large eggs
1 tsp smooth custard
1 cup of bread crumbs
5 slices of white/ brown bread
Vegetable spice for seasoning.
Method:
1. Crack the eggs into a bowl, add 1 teaspoon of custard powder, a dash of milk to loosen up eggs & whisk gently!
2. Dab bread slices into the egg mixture on both side, gently place the bread on breadcrumbs surface and cover the bread generously with the crumbs.
3. Allow bread to soak in the mixture n coating for at least 2 minutes or refrigerate until bread is soft ;
5. Cut the bread into small bite-size squares, heat up canola oil (or any other oil of your preference), you can either deep fry or shallow fry about half a minute, turning consistently, to get them to a golden colour and crisp texture.
