The increase in the violence meted out against women formed most of Premier Refilwe Mtsweni’s Women’s Month celebration speech the past weekend.
Another woman has been found dead in Mpumalanga barely two days after the province celebrated Women’s Month in Kwaggafontein on 11 August 2018.
The cops are now appealing to anybody with information that can help find the killer of 50-year-old Florence Nyundu.
Nyundu, a mother of three and a local school teacher, is from the section of Sifunindlela in the Mbombela township of Kabokweni, north of city.

Police say Nyundu’s lifeless body was found with a gunshot wound in hospital after her family found her shot and rushed her to hospital on Monday mid-day this week (13 Aug).
“It is unknown who shot her and the reason for her murder is currently unknown,” Kabokweni police spokesman Sergeant Gerald Sedibe said.
“She had a gunshot wound to her upper body,” said Sedibe.
The woman’s murder has sent shock waves in the area and among people who had known her for many years.
Recently a 13-year-old girl, known as Dimpho Malevu and a 59-year-old woman were found murdered in Ermelo.
Identified as Anna Lisaia Ntuli, the 59-year-old was found in the bushes of the Ermelo township of Nyibe the second week of August 2018 while Dimpho, who was reported missing on 29 July 2018 by her parents, was also found by passers-by raped before she was strangled. The girl was from the Phumula township of Ermelo and her body was found dumped in an open field on the road to Henrina.
The cops still seek the murders.
