The family of the late star has sought to distance the man from his lover, saying they broke up last year.
Supposed wife of late musician HHP is approaching the court in order to fight for her place as the man’s widow.
The 35-year-old Lerato Sengadi in court papers submitted Thursday this week says she got married to Hip Hop Patsula (real name Jabulani Tsambo) on 26 February 2016.
She wanted the court to rule the matter as urgent in order for her to be able to bury HHP.
She says she is the “lawful customary wife” of HHP despite the musician’s family saying she left the man and his Johannesburg house “on her own accord”.
The family of the late star says they don’t want to see her close to them but Lerato is now going to court in order to force the family to disclose the whereabouts of HHP’s body in order to bury him herself.
She wants the court to stop the family from making or proceeding with funeral arrangements.
She says the body should be given to her.
The family has announced that HHP will be buried the coming weekend in Mmabatho, North West.
