She had gone to visit her own mom in Eldorado Park on 23 December 2018.
A 48-year-old mom who went to visit her mom in Joburg during the festive season has now been reported missing together with her son.
Their case was opened this week Sunday at the Sabie police station by her husband.
She is Patricia Hummenburg and her son is Liren Tembe.
The police in Mpumalanga said Patricia left Sabie on 23 December 2018 to visit her mom in Eldorado Park, Johannesburg.
She was with her son when she left and both stayed there in Eldos until 4 January 2019 when she told her husband that she was coming back home.
The husband deposited money for them to return home on the 4 January.
Patricia confirmed receiving the money and said that she was now on her way back.
Later on that when the husband tried to call them their phones were off and have been off ever since.
