It is his connection with people that elevated him to be Number 2.
Mpumalanga Premier Refilwe Mtshweni used her administration’s last State of the Province Adress (SOPA) to describe deputy president DD Mabuza as someone who has love for people and who has positioned the provincial government “towards a path of sustainable development”.
She said Mabuza in his role as deputy president will “ensure that the entire South Africa benefits from [his] people-centred leadership style”.
Mtshweni delivered her first State of the Province Address on Friday 22 February 2019 at the legislature.
She said Mabuza was able to establish a provincial government that “strategically positioned” Mpumalanga “towards a path of sustainable development”.
“Mshengu,” Mtshweni said, “the love and affinity you have for the people of Mpumalanga and their development is indeed second to none”.
“Your selfless pursuit to elevate the status of Mpumalanga as a destination of choice will never be forgotten,” she said.
