The prayer meeting will be held at the Victory Fellowship Showgrounds this Friday.
South Africa’s public protector Busi Mkhwebane has confirmed she would attend an event in the KwaMhlanga area aimed at praying for and supporting her amid calls for her to be removed from office.
She said she will definitely be in attendance while scores of people gather to pray for her.
Organisers of the event say Mkhwebane is not being treated fairly and God’s intervention was needed in bringing an end to the “chaos”.
Mkhwebane needs the spiritual strength that will enable her to overcome challenges, Pastor JJ Mtsweni told the media.
JJ says when they gather at the KwaMhlanga Victory Fellowship Showgrounds on Friday 30 August 2019 they want to pray for the unity of government, parliament and the courts because of cat-fights “amongst the people who are supposed to lead the country”.
“This chaos must come to an end,” said the pastor.
JJ said “everybody” was pointing at Mkhwebane’s office, “meaning that it is Busi Mkhwebane who is said to be doing something wrong”.
“We need God to protect that office and to keep it in order,” said JJ.
