The samples were taken to a lab that found it’s not Corona Virus.
An SABC worker has been cleared of the Covid-19 virus by a lab that found she was misdiagnosed with the virus.
The diagnosis this week led to the public broadcaster immediately closing down their Durban office.
The SABC this week Tuesday said the worker had been working since President Cyril Ramaphosa declared the national lockdown towards the end of March 2020 and that from 27 May until 1 June 2020 the office would be closed for decontamination.
But the next day the worker was found negative…
And the office will reopen now, rather wait for the planned 1 June.
SABC spokeswoman Mmoni Seapolelo said the broadcaster followed all the processes before making an announcement on 26 May.

Seapolelo said the positive test that got reported “was based on official lab results that were presented to the employee”.
“The employee has since been alerted by the lab in question that an error occurred during the initial testing and the employee was presented with new test results, whose outcome was negative,” she said.
The broadcaster has both tests results.
The worker was immediately taken for quarantining and others called for testing.
The office will now be opened Friday 29 May 2020.
