This Day In History is a special commemorative feature commissioned by 013NEWS in order to pay homage to the liberation struggle of South Africa whose documented history is often scant and difficult to find.The feature aims to inform and educate our readers about the selfless struggle waged by South African liberation fighters beginning in 1961 right up until 1994. Many of them remain faceless names who if not recognised and recorded will be relegated into the abyss of history.
