The tariff increase also applies to the various activities offered by the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency at its reserves; like game drives, hiking trails and bush walks.
Tariffs like entry fees to Mpumalanga reserves,camping and self-catering accommodation will go up.
The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency announced that this will be effective as from 1 November 2017.
It says the increase in entry fees and other activities will go a long way in addressing the issues of infrastructure maintenance.

“Our intention is to improve our facilities and the viewpoints at all our main nature reserves in order to provide visitors with the best possible experience,” the agency said in a statement this week.
Previously called Mpumalanga Parks Board, the Mpumalanga Tourism is a government organisation that maintains wilderness areas and public nature reserves in the province, like the Barberton Nature Reserve, Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve, Loskop Dam and many others.
“The MTPA is committed to ensuring that all our visitors enjoy a comfortable, safe and unforgettable experience at all our facilities, hence the need to review our tariffs in order to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of the nature reserves,” it said.
September is Tourism Month and Mpumalanga is hosting it this year.
