The sale of the lodge is said to be R32 million and a court battle halted it.

A high court judge has given Sibusiso Tshabalala a green-light to the Bundu Lodge in Mbombela.

Tshabalala is with a company calledEbundu (Pty) Ltd and had approached Willem Janson, owner and founder of the lodge, with a purpose to buy it.

It was agreed that Tshabalala would buy the place and a public announcement was made in September 2017 that Janson is now giving ownership of the place to Tshabalala.

But three months later apparently Janson refused to sell the place, citing Tshabalala was no longer complying with the sale agreement.

Tshabalala then took him to court, saying he was now being unfair to him.

The Lowvelder reports JudgeHenk Roelofse ruled in Tshabalala’s favour, ordering the lodge be sold to him.

The fight between Janson and Tshabalala occured on 4 December 2017 when Janson said Tshabalala was failing to comply with the agreement of the purchase.

It was being heard by the Mpumalanga high court.

The Judge said he believed Janson’s allegations that Tshabalala was not complying with the sale agreement was false and because he was regretting selling the place.

Janson had now been ordered to sell the place to Tshabalala but Janson has vowed to file new court papers and appeal the judgement.
