The boy’s kidnappers want the family to give them just over R1.5 million in order for them to release the child.


The mom of the eMalahleni boy kidnapped on Sunday afternoon is appealing to the public to help assist them find their boy.

54-year-old Marriam Marite says Kathlego Marite has a chest problem and she is worried of his well-being.

The Grade 7 pupil was kidnapped by unknown thugs driving in a gold Toyota Corolla.

The men want an amount of just over R1.5 million from the Tasbet Park family to be paid in the sum of 15 Bitcoins.

One Bitcoin is equal to *R103 301.81.

She said she was in the house preparing her uniform for work on the Sunday afternoon when Kathlego’s friends came to tell her the boy had been taken by men.

“I appeal to anyone who can have informationn about my son to please help us. I don’t wish this type of pain to happen to anybody,” she said.
