Gauteng police search for two men in Sibusiso Radebe’s murder


He became a member of the national assembly for the first time in 2009.

A search for two men who shot dead Gert Sibande SACP regional committee member has been launched in Gauteng.

He was shot at around 7.30 on Tuesday night in Roodepoort, west of Johannesburg before his killers fled the scene in a Ford Fiesta, dark in colour and with unknown registration.

“Police have launched a search for two suspects believed to be responsible for the murder of a 40-year old male victim in Roodepoort, Johannesburg West.

“Preliminary reports indicate that the deceased was with another person in a vehicle parked in Carbon Street, Lindhaven when two suspects allegedly approached the vehicle and opened fire, fatally wounding the deceased, while his companion managed to escape uninjured,” Gauteng police spokesman Kay Makhubela said.

Radebe is from the Elukwatini area of Mpumalanga, east of Badplaas, and has served in Cosas, YCL, ANCYL
