The bull weighed in at close to 1000kg.

South African head of state Cyril Ramaphosa recently went to Davel near Ermelo to fork out R500 000 for a bull named Jameson.

Jameson will now form part of the large number of expensive cattle that the businessman-politician keeps at his 5000 hectare Ntaba Nyoni farm situated more just over 30km from Badplaas.

The Boran stud was bought for R500 000 by Ramaphosa’s employee on 3 August 2019 during the Bull Ring auction organised Hurwitz farming. The next auction is in September 2019.

It is reported that Jameson is 5-year-old and is the brother of a heifer that sold for R300,000 in a previous auction.

Jameson was then transported to Ntaba Nyoni farm.

Jaco van der Walt of Waltkon Meat in Naboomspruit, Limpopo took the second highest expensive bull at the Davel auction.

His name is Pegasus and sold for R140 000. The next auction is on 25 September 2019.
