Organisers say the event is aimed at making the chamber more known as a vehicle for economic development.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Witbank is preparing to host its 1st annual Golf Day on 31 January 2020.
It will take place at the Witbank Golf Course and CEO Dudu Zulu will address the main event as well as eMalahleni mayor Linah Malatjie.
Organisers say these annual events will help to market the Chamber and make its work in business known across. The event will also help to fundraise for the Chamber’s infrastructure and building while also serving as a platform for businesspeople to network.
“The purpose of this event is to fundraise for the Chamber’s infrastructure and to market it as a vehicle for business transformation and support,” Zulu, who is also the Chamber’s president, said when speaking to 013NEWS.
“It will enable business owners to network with other businesspeople and we also aim to provide the business community with the platform to promote their products and services,” she said.
She added that the Chamber safeguards the livelihood of everyone engaged in business, and “provides the vital conduct for views and opinions to flow from the business community to the right authorities,” Zulu said
