She was able to write the whole book while doing her matric.
Hendrina matriculant Lindokuhle Mkhwanazi is now a published author at age 19.
She has just published High School Life with Streetwise Approach Publishers.
Lindo belongs to the class of 2020 at Kwazamokuhle Secondary School in Steve Tshwete local municipality.
She writes about the challenges that learners face at high schools while pursuing their studies.
She said High School Life targets both high school learners as well as those leaving to tertiary schooling.
She said she was grateful of her late granny Linah (81) for raising her.
“Young people can achieve a lot as long as we put more effort and persevere in our dreams,” she said.
“I know that this book will be more relevant now that learners will be going to various institutions of learning,” she said.
Lindo wrote High School Life while writing her matric last year.
She said it only took her 4 months to complete it having dreamt about publishing one.
“I am so happy to have fulfilled my long-standing dream of writing a book,” she said.
“I am passionate about inspiring young people and challenging them to do more,” she said.
