In a statement, Rankoussi said Radisson Middelburg will open at the end of 2023.
The group plans to operate 150 hotels across Africa by 2026. The Middelburg one will be the 16th hotel to be built on the continent.
“The Radisson Hotel Middelburg will certainly assist in uplifting the town and support its drive to boost tourism as its the only internationally branded hotel,” director Daniel Trappler,
The new Radisson hotel is currently under construction and on schedule to open concurrently with a planned convention centre, situated adjacent to the hotel.
“Complementing the convention centre is the hotel’s own 2 300 square metre meetings and events area, consisting of a pre-function area, banquet hall as well as eight meeting rooms and board rooms.”
