This is a family friendly event, and for local businesspeople to showcase their products while entertainment drives the day.

Witbank is preparing its first Farmers’ Market event to be held at the Indlela Lodge on 3 October 2021.

It will take place the whole day on the Sunday of 3 October.

“This event can be described as a family friendly food market,” event organiser Nombuso Tshabalala said, adding that Eastvaal Motors is one of the sponsors of the show and will display 20 brand new cars.

“Patrons will have the choice of experiencing craft beer or their favourite local beer at the beer garden, live local music as well as a curated line up of super talented local DJ’s,” she said.

The event will be held from 10 in the morning to 8 at night, Indlela Country Estate.

Tickets start from R50 to R100 at WebTickets and at all Pick n Pay stores nationwide.

Children below age 12 will enter for free and will be entertained at the kiddies play area which will sport a go-kart circuit, jumping castles and water slides.

Through another partnership with MetroFibre, high speed internet will be free for everyone within the premises of the event.

Small businesspeople who want to showcase products at the Witbank Farmers Market should send a WhatsApp text to 079 794 8436, before the closing date 23 September 2021.

“Our other objective is to help small business through giving them a platform and opportunity to showcase their products, so we’re very excited,” said Tshabalala.

“Our vision for doing this event is to really create a wonderful atmosphere for our patrons.

“From the kind of vendors we are selecting for food stalls to the vehicle test drives and the live music, we want people to have an experience they have never had in Witbank.

“It’s not a festival or anything like that, it’s a laid back Sunday market for people to come with their friends and families and have a nice relaxed day outdoors,” Tshabalala of Nombulelo Media said.
