The police in Mpumalanga have arrested a Swati politician who is exiled in South Africa for pro-democracy struggles.

An eSwatini newspaper reports that a Pudemo politician is being held in Mbombela for the young woman’s murder.

He works at the Mpumalanga legislature and owns the guesthouse that was raided by cops on Friday night.

Pudemo secretary-general Wandile Dludlu confirmed to Swaziland News that their member is arrested in Mbombela.

Hilary’s body was found with a bullet wound on the head and stab wounds on her breasts.

The 39-year-old Swati politician once served as SRC president at Wits University.

A second suspect who is a son of a well known ANC politician from Mpumalanga was arrested in Nkomazi in connection with the murder.

Hilary was killed on the early hours of Tuesday 3 May 2022.

Her father Godrich, a senior leader of the EFF, said his daughter had just died when they arrived on the scene.

She seemed to be someone who was trying to crawl.

Police spokesman Donald Mdhluli confirmed that another two suspects were arrested on Saturday night, a 47 year old and a 51 year old male.

Hillary’s body was found in a Mbombela forest plantation – just 500 meters from the R532 road connecting Mbombela and Sabie.

The killer abducted Hillary at the Nelspruit Plaza Spar at around 17h00 on Friday 29 April 2022 and abandoned her lifeless body at the forest.
