Mpumalanga ANC PEC member Democracy Zwane is reportedly owed an amount of R70 million in a dodgy Ermelo deal involving a municipal water resevoir.
The poll was done by etv and interviewed people in the Mpumalanga province.
Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa is the right leader to take over from outgoing ANC leader Jacob Zuma, according to a published poll.
200 people who vote for the ANC in the province were interviewed by MarkData on behalf of etv and found that a majority of them want Ramaphosa.
MarkData says the survey was conducted between September and October 2017 and Ramaphosa was the choice in Mpumalanga and Western Cape while in KZN Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma is the favoured choice.
Close to 70% of those interviewed agreed that the South African President should be jailed when asked by MarkData researchers about his relationship with the Gupta family, while 10% said No he should not.
The survey follows rumours that the Mpumalanga province will back Dlamini-Zuma in order for their own, DD Mabuza, to be the deputy.
This also comes after the Mpumalanga ANCWL a week ago pronounced Dlamini-Zuma as their favourite candidate for the ANC presidency, deputised by DD and Ace Magashule as secretary and Jessie Duarte as Magashule’s deputy.
The league also pronounced Nathi Mthethwa as their favoured candidate for the position of chairperson and Maite Nkoane-Mashabane as the treasurer.
