Mpumalanga education MEC Sibusiso Malaza lied when he said he would do something to assist dozens of farm school learners who are without scholar transpot.
It’s that time of the year where communists pull out their regalia for the Red October rally.
The deputy national leader of the South African Communist Party (SACP) is coming to the Mpumalanga province.
Solly Mapaila will be at the Sakhile community hall in Standerton on Sunday (29 Oct) to launch the Red October Campaign.
Party spokesman Lesetja Dikgale says the launch will be used to reflect on a number of challenges facing our country.
“The event will be used to reflect on the current challenges facing our country and movement,” he said.
“It is aimed at consolidating as many stakeholders to build a broad front to confront any format of gender based violence in our society.
“We believe this is one barbaric act that we often take for granted while it erodes revolutionary morality and perpetuates the historical legacy of violence in the country,” Dikgale said.
The event will start at 10 in the morning and expected are leaders from ANC, Cosatu and SANCO who will deliver messages of support.
