The provincial secretary of Sanco in Mpumalanga says Sanco belongs to community members and its role was actually to produce ANC converts.
Provincial secretary Mike Soko told community members at a community hall in KwaMhlanga over the weekend that the South African National Civic Organisation accepted anyone from DA and EFF but that person would then be converted to the ideologies of the ANC.
“Please don’t change the character of Sanco and say ‘Sanco is only for ANC members’. No. That’s not Sanco.
“Sanco is for community members. DA members, EFF members, as long as they are in the community. Once that person joins, we then have a very strategic role to play in the alliance and that role is to convert them to the National Democratic Revolution,” said Soko to an applause.
Soko and provincial chairman JJ Skosana were at the KwaMhlanga area to launch the Khuluma Mhlali program.
Soko said: “Let’s take Sanco out of the boardroom and give it to community members and hear all their problems. When you take these problems to the councillors it doesn’t mean you are fighting the ANC but we are fighting against the individuals who are failing us”.
