YCL Gert Sibande march is spoiled after Nick Balkrishen’s no show

A march to complain about the alleged corruption of a college principal has gone unsuccessful…

The person whom the memorandum was supposed to be submitted to didn’t show up.

Instead he sent his deputy to receive the memorandum but those marching refused to give the memorandum to him.

Nick Balkrishen, the head of the Gert Sibande Tvet College in Mpumalanga, was not available to receive the memorandum of complaints from members of the young communist league (YCL) in the region and instead chose to send his deputy, Jannie Pretorious, whom the young communists refused to hand the memorandum to.

Regional young communist spokesman Edward Letsimo told 013NEWS that amongst the demands they wanted Balkrishen to explain why an outside Evander campus accommodation belonging to students has now been given to mine-workers to live in, allegedly for Balkrishen’s extra cash.

“His no show explains to us he is indeed involved in the corruption he has been accused of,” Motsimo said on Thursday night.

“We are not retreating until we have found a solution to the problems we have raised,” he said.
