A key leader in the ward of ex-member of Parliament Pro Khoza has joined the ANC, leaving the area with no EFF branch.
Victor Mbethe, who served as ward 17 EFF chairman in the Badplaas area of Mpumalanga, is said to have joined the ANC barely a month after Khoza left Parliament.

The Badplaas area of Khoza is divided into two wards – ward 17 and ward 23 – and Khoza has a house in ward 23 but his family lives in ward 17.
Mbethe confirmed he has now joined the ANC.
He said that he left the EFF at the end of February 2017 “but that doesn’t mean I have abandoned Malema”.
“Yes I was introduced to the BEC of the ANC in the ward but I haven’t filled in a membership form yet, they said the formal process will happen when I am introduced in a branch general meeting,” he said.
