Majuba, Dlelanga coming to Amersfoort for Bua Thursday

The event is organised by the YCL in the province as part of its Bua Thursday talks.

National young communist leader Mluleki Dlelanga and mother-body provincial leader Bonakela Majuba are coming to the Mpumalanga town of Amersfoort.

The event is organised by the Mpumalanga young communist league and will coincide with the Freedom Day holiday on Thursday this week.

The date of 27 April in South Africa commemorates the day in 1994 when the first democratic election was held.

YCL provincial leader Tinyiko Ntini said the event is a provincial league programme but not only provincial executive committee members will be there as there are other programmes in other regions across the province.

“This is our Chris Hani commemoration as you know that April is the month where we commemorate the brutal and cowardly murder of our former general secretary,” Ntini said on Tuesday, responding to questions on Whatsapp.

“As we commemorate comrade Chris Hani, we remember that the country celebrates the freedom day,” he said.

Amersfoort is located in the Pixley Ka-Isaka Seme local municipality of the Gert Sibande district area.

The theme under which Majuba and Dlelanga will be speaking is ‘Freedom Day: Are we really free in a capitalist state’?

Bua Thursday is a YCL talk series where we engage our constituency and society at large for our perspective to reach everyone,” said Ntini.
