Witbank family announces funeral arrangements of Pearl Mhlanga, 3 kids
SHOCKING DEATH: Reports say 32-year-old Pearl Malang sent an SMS to her husband, Mandla Mhlanga, after a fight on Saturday and warned him that he would be sorry". PICTURE supplied.

The family has announced the funeral arrangements of Pearl Mhlanga and her three kids.

Pearl and 7-month-old Quain, 5-year-old Quirino and 8-year-old Quanisha will be laid to rest at the Pretoria Road Memorial Park in Kwa-Guqa.

Family spokesman Vusi Mhlanga said the family is “too pained to comment to the newspaper”.

“All we need now is to pass through the process of the funeral. We’re too pained,” he said on Wednesday evening.

Vusi is Mandla Mhlanga’s elder brother. Mandla is Pearl’s husband.

Quanisha, Quain and Quirino.

Pearl was found dead together with the three kids on Monday morning at their house in the Skiatos security complex in Cancer street, Reyno Ridge.

News24 reported that Mandla and Pearl had a fight on Saturday.

According to the report, Mandla had stormed out of the house on Saturday after fighting with his wife. The children had spent part of the weekend with relatives.

Pearl apparently tried phoning her husband, but he didn’t answer his phone. That’s when she sent the SMS.

In the SMS she sent to Mandla, she asks him to pick up her calls otherwise he “will be sorry”.

On Monday 11 July the domestic worker arrived to find the house locked. She contacted Pearl’s sister who called police and were then able to gain entry into the house.

A visibly distraught Mandla arrived to find his home cordoned off by authorities.

Pearl is suspected to have fed the kids and herself with poison after Mandla ignored them outright but cops say a post-mortem, to be released later today, will determine what caused their death.

“The funeral service will take place in Raymond Makwakwa street, stand number 2936 in Ackerville on Saturday morning,” Vusi said.
