One of the accused, Themba Thobane, pleaded guilty to the murder and was sentenced two life sentences for the gruesome murder of child who was living with Albinism.
The matter in the murder case of Gabisile Shabane and her cousin 1-year-old Nkosikhona Ngwenya has been postponed in the Mpumalanga High Court sitting in Middelburg over the Covid-19 pandemic.
The case has now been postponed to 8 June 2020.
The remaining three accused are Thokozane Msibi, Knowledge Mhlanga and Brilliant Mkhize.
A fourth accused, Themba Thobane, was sentenced to two life sentences after he pleaded guilty to killing the children in August 2019.
They face various charges, including murder, kidnapping, pointing of what resembled a firearm and violation of corpses after they allegedly cut the Albino child’s body into pieces before burying her in a shallow grave.
Her body was then allegedly used for muthi, while the 1-year-old boy cousin, whom the killers thought was also an Albino, was thrown out of the vehicle near Kromdraai on the N4 highway towards Tshwane.

The latest barbaric superstition was that people who live with Albinism could solve the financial problems of business people by making their business generate more profits and flourish.
The NPA said one of the accused had knowledge that there were two children residing in the area of Hlalanikahle near Vosman in eMalahleni.
Gabisile and Nkosikhona were kidnapped on 28 January 2018 while sleeping with their parents in separate rooms in their home.
Police said something that looked like a gun, according to the parents of the victims, was produced during the night when the accused allegedly arrived at the home to take the children.
When realising that 1-year-old Nkosikhona was not living with the condition of albinism, he was killed and his lifeless body thrown in Zaalklap river main stream.
They bodies were found when confessions amongst the suspects began, including Gabisile’s alleged body parts which were found in a bucket full of muthi in one of the traditional healer’s places operation.
