As the country is celebrating the role of women in our societies, the Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency is also in.

The agency said they want to have events where they assist township businesswomen to develop by offering them training.

Now they are searching for ten young black businesswomen to make submissions of the type of businesses they are doing or want to do.

The campaign is called Women of the Rising Sun.

Sezanele Zondi, agency’s business advisor, said all submissions should be made to Zipho Khambule on [email protected].

Zondi said one workshop will take place on Saturday, the upcoming weekend, in the eMalahleni area.

She said businesswomen will be provided with the kind of knowledge needed to run a successful business “and also provide them with the opportunity to engage and market their businesses to various potential markets”.

“In line with its objective of supporting and developing SMMEs, MEGA will be in search of ten young female entrepreneurs from eMalahleni who, once selected, will be hosted in amini workshop where various business experts will impart their business skills and training,” Zondi said.

The mini workshop will be at the Phumlani Lodge & Conferencing in eMalahleni on 12 August 2017.
