Nolwazi bids farewell to Generations: The Legacy
LEAVES SOAPIE SCENE: TV personality Thando Thabethe who played Nolwazi Buzo on Generations: The Legacy.

She first announced in August 2017 that she was on her way out of the popular SA soapie.

TV personality Thando Thabethe has thanked the millions of South Africans who allowed her “into their homes and lives” everyday while she was with the SABC soapie but also the producers who gave the opportunity.

In a lengthy post on Instagram this week, Thando said quitting Generations: The Legacy was the hardest decision she ever made but says as she walks out she is happy at being afforded the chance.

In August, Thando announced she was quitting the weekday South African soapie in order to focus on an upcoming talk show.

Nolwazi will still be seen on the soapie until January 2017 when her last scenes end.

“What an incredible journey it has been,” she wrote on Instagram in Monday.

“…a childhood dream fulfilled!!!” she said.

And that is it…what an incredible journey it has been…a childhood dream fulfilled!!! Being on @generations_the_legacy has been nothing short of PHENOMENAL…thank you to the 8mill+ people that tuned in everyday and let me into their homes and lives…thank you to @mzansi_fosho ,the cast, crew and producers for allowing me the honor and privilege…I walk away happy and a better person than I was when I first got here…undoubtedly one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make…but my gut has never let me down and I know that when it feels scary to jump, that's the best time to jump or you'll end up staying in the same place your entire life…farewell my Nolwazi …till we meet again ❤️❤️❤️ -"Have no fear of moving into the unknown. Simply step out fearlessly knowing that I am with you, therefore no harm can befall you; all is very, very well. Do this in complete faith and confidence.- Pope John Paul II
