She is coming to launch the government’s ‘Sanitary Dignity Programme’.
The event will take place at the Mkhondo (formerly Piet Ratief rugby stadium) Thursday 28 February 2019.
“The launch is a culmination of government’s efforts to ensure that all young women have access to sanitary products. The Sanitary Dignity Programme encompasses the entire value chain from procurement and production, to storage, distribution and disposal of sanitary products,” her department said.
“The Department of Women (DoW) is mandated with the responsibility to coordinate the development of an implementation framework on the distribution of sanitary products to indigent girls and women,” said a statement.
Premier Refilwe Mtshweni will also form part of the gathering. It will start from 9 in the morning.
The launch’s theme is ‘Restoring the Dignity of Young Women”.
