The mother of ANCWL Mpumalanga co-ordinator Lydia Moroane has died, the Ehlanzeni ANCWL has said.
Elly Dumeya Moroane died Monday 7 September 2020 at the age of 77.
RTT co-ordinator Girly Mathebula said Gogo Elly was a long serving member of the ANC and ANCWL and fought hard for the liberation of black people in South Africa.

Gogo Elly will be laid to rest in the Bushbuckridge village of Saselani Saturday 12 September 2020.
“We are saddened by the passing on of one of our stalwarts – a veteran and member of the ANCWL,” Mathebula said in a statement.
“As the ANCWL we’d like to send our heartfelt condolences to the Moroane and Sithole families, for this is indeed a great loss.
“We will forever remember her, may her soul rest in eternal peace and may her undying spirit continue to roar amongst us,” she said.
