TV and radio star, Dineo Ranaka, has adopted five Mpumalanga girls and will be networking with both businesswomen and businessmen when she takes part and speaks at the Golf4Fun event in White River this weekend.

Her publicist, Cedric Mabaso, on Saturday said the five kids are adopted into Ranaka’s newly established school – the Dineo Ranaka Academy – that will partner with the Departments of Education and Social Development to teach girls across the country on the subjects of financial literacy and life skills.

“The plan at the moment is that she is going to build a school, but for now we are going to have camps starting August to October,” Mabaso said.

He said Ranaka is at the White River Country Estate in Mbombela until Sunday and she attends the Golf4Fun event there in order to network with businesswomen and businessmen to sponsor her newly established academy.

“It is a lifestyle event aiming for networking to sponsor Dineo’s
academy by accomodating the five Grade 12 girls for the weekend at the
Ingwenyama Lodge because that’s where the study retreats will take
place,” said Mabaso.

He said Ranaka’s plan now is to get as many girls as possible, across
the country, for life orientation skills as well as getting an academic
university specialist to come and talk to them and assist them on life
orientation skills so that they themselves are able to help their
communities.

The TV star is expected to also speak at the White River Country Estate and allow media to take photos, Mabaso added.
