The deputy president of the ANCYL in South Africa has said that all racist whites should be driven to the sea.

Desmond Moela was addressing scores of supporters during the bail application of the two white men who allegedly beat up a black man, set petrol on him before putting him inside a coffin, threatening to set him alight.

The EFF and ANC set up their stage trucks outside the Middelburg magistrates court with sound systems blaring the tunes of struggle songs.

Supporters were addressed by Nkangala chairman Speedy Mashilo but Moela only spoke for just a minute.

On stage, Moela said: “We don’t want to take the law into our hands but it’s just a reminder to these racist whites that we are giving them only five days to come and tell us all of their sins and after that we want our land and we drive them back to the sea,” he said.

The ANCYL was the only organisation that was granted permission by the Steve Tshwete municipality to picket at today’s court appearance following the widespread condemnation of the video.

On Tuesday municipal spokeswoman Prudence Magutle told 013NEWS that both the EFF and the DA had failed to submit the required documentation and therefore had not been granted permission to picket.

However by 8:00 all three political parties had gathered in their numbers in front of the courthouse.

The case was postponed to 25 January 2017 – both Theo Martins and Willem Oosthuizen remain in custody, after they abandoned their bail application, citing the reasons that they fear for their lives.
