The group says this is due to the unavailability of most of the speakers who would be at various places for Tuesday’s Human Rights Day celebrations.
The Friends of Palestine has postponed a lecture on the struggle of the people of Palestine, saying a nearer date will be announced.
“On behalf of COSATU and the Friends of Palestine we would like to apologise for this postponement as we had no option.
“The postponement was due to the Human Rights celebration which made most of our speakers not to be available for the lecture,” the group’s Tau Hlongwane said in a statement on late Monday.
“We hope and trust that our apology will be well received by all and sundry,” Hlongwane said.
The lecture was due to be held at the eMalahleni civic theatre on Tuesday morning (21 Mar) and ANC’s provincial head of international relations in the Mpumalanga province, Fish Mahlalela, was scheduled to deliver the lecture.
