The committee will spend two days on a “fact finding missing”.

Parliament’s portfolio committee on rural development and land reform is coming to the Mpumalanga province to conduct oversight.

They will be on a” fact-finding mission” for a community land claim and other issues.

Committee chairwoman Phumzile Ngwenya-Mabila said that the committee wants to monitor and evaluate the Mhlanganisweni community land claim in Protea Hotel Kruger Gate.

They also want to monitor the functioning of the N’wandlamhlarhi Communal Property Association in the province.

Land reform minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane and land claims commissioner Nomfundo Ntloko-Gobodo will brief the committee during the oversight visit.

They say other stakeholders will form part of the Parliamentary team.

The portfolio committee will also meet the community at the Lilydale Soccer Field.
