Member of the ANC’s national executive committee, David Mahlobo, is coming to Ermelo…
Mahlobo, who is also the country’s intelligence minister, is invited by the ANC youth league in the Gert Sibande region to teach them about the late heroic ANC leader.
The lecture is on Friday at the Ermelo community hall in the Wesselton township.
ANCYL regional spokesman Thulasizwe Thomo said the Tambo lecture by Mahlobo is expected to attract over 5000 from youth league branches in the region.

“Comrade David Mahlobo is among the best leaders in the ANC NEC that has an ideological clarity and better understands the life and times of President OR Tambo, so hence we opted to request him to come share his wisdom with us.
“Former President OR Tambo and his generation fought a noble battle and lived their lives in pursuit of a better life for all,” said Thomo on Wednesday afternoon.
Thomo said the lecture will begin at 1pm and ends at around 3.30pm.
He told 013NEWS that Trevor Nkosi, who is regional chairman of the league in the Gert Sibande region as well as the provincial deputy chairman of the league in the Mpumalanga province, will be giving “the necessary political direction and marching orders as the regional chair”.
Nkosi , at 31, is one of the youngest district chief whip in South Africa.
On OR Tambo and his generation, Thomo said: “The democracy which we enjoy today is the sweet fruit of their lives of structure and sacrifice.
“He was ever ready to draw others into leadership, and he never ask others what he was not prepared to do himself,” added Thomo.
