The number of initiates who have died in the Mpumalanga area of KwaNdebele has risen to four.

“By this time we have lost four initiates‚” he said.

“There are certain things that we cannot discuss with women based on our culture‚” said Mashego, referring to why the exact causes of death won’t be made public.

Mashego said one of the four boys died in an illegal school, the three in legal schools.
