The ANCYL is preparing for regional congresses.
The leader of the ANCYL in Premier David Mabuza’s region says he is available for re-election.
Bheki Lubisi told 013NEWS over the weekend his re-election will only occur should branches give him the go-ahead.
“What I can say is that I’m available,” he said over the phone.
“If branches want me to come again I’m available to serve,” Lubisi said.
The league in the Mpumalanga province wants their regional elective congresses to occur in September 2017, provincial spokesman Bheki Sithole confirmed.
“There are guidelines and that is that the congresses should be in September,” Sithole said.
Lubisi said what will happen in congress are branches choosing who they want.
“I can confirm that I’m available if the ANCYL in Hlanzeni still wants me to serve,” he said.
Lubisi is serving a second term as the leader of the ANCYL in Mpumalanga’s biggest region.
