He had been on the run until his arrest this week.
A 44-year-old man made a brief appearance at the Kabokweni Magistrates Court for the murder of his wife and mother-in-law.
The 39-year-old wife and his 54-year-old mom were shot dead allegedly by the man at the mother-in-law’s house.
His name is Mhlolo Ngomane and will return to court on 12 April 2018 for formal bail application.
Police spokesmanColonel Mtsholi Bhembe said the incident happened on 29 March 2018 and since then the man has been in hiding.
He was arrested on 3 April 2018 following a tip-off and is facing two counts of murder.
“The alleged murder firearm was handed over to the police by a relative,” Bhembe said.
Police boss Lieutenant-General Mondli Zuma thanked the community for alerting the cops of his whereabouts.
