The body of the victim was found with missing parts in a shallow grave. A traditional healer was nabbed along with him.

The police in Mpumalanga are appealing to anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dennis Sipho Motubatse who has absconded court appearance.

Police said Motubatse was now “nowhere to be found”.

They were now asking the public to call them immediately on 084 589 1128 with any information that can lead to his arrest.

Motubatse was arrested on 23 March 2018 for allegedly murdering his employer 64-year-old Aletha Maree. A traditional healer was also arrested with Motubatse but had since died in custody.

Maree was reported missing on 28 February 2018 at the Vosman police station. When police investigated, they found that Motubatse was an employee of the woman and allegedly showed them the shallow grave where they had allegedly buried her.

Certain parts of her body were missing and was allegedly found in the traditional healer and Motubatse’s possession. It’s believed she was killed for muthi.

Motubatse was granted bail and is now nowhere to be found, Colonel Mtsholi Bhembe said.

Anyone with information should call the cops on 084 589 1128, 013 659 8400 or 08600 10111.
