The region says the ANC image has been messed up enough and ought to be defended.

The ANC in the eHlanzeni region is currently preparing to block acting provincial secretary Lindiwe Ntshalintshali from entering the party’s 108th birthday celebration in Witbank the coming weekend, saying they will be doing this in front of cameras and for everyone to see they have lost confidence in the woman.

The region gathered this week 29 January 2020 and declared support for Premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane, where provincial treasurer Vusi Shongwe should serve as her deputy and PEC member Pat Ngomane as the slate’s secretary.

eHlanzeni ANC strongman Ngrai Ngwenya addressed the gathering of branches at the municipal building in Mbombela CBD and said that Ntshalintshali should be suspended, and as Mpumalanga ANC they are going to show the country in “front of journalists” in Witbank on Saturday 1 February 2020 how they have lost confidence in the woman.

The eHlanzeni region, opposed to Ntshalintshali and acting chairman Mandla Ndlovu’s rule in Mpumalanga, is led by ‘Lomdzala’ Ngwenya who now prepares the ground for Tsipane to take power as the first female leader of the ANC in the province.

Ngwenya told scores of branch members that Ntshalintshali has messed up the ANC’s image and the party should get rid of her.

“Comrades I’m lobbying all of us here to go and represent the image of the ANC at Sy Mthimunye stadium,” Lomdzala said.

“We must show the journalists that we have lost confidence in Lindiwe Ntshalintshali and that we have been saying it since comrade DD left that Ntshalintshali is dividing the province and we must get rid of her,” Ngwenya said to thunderous applause from most of the 4 eHlanzeni sub-regions Wednesday.

Ngwenya said when he was accused of assaulting Ntshalintshali in July 2019 he got suspended and that the ANC should today do the same thing after Ntshalintshali’s audio recording of her having sex with a Ben 10 at a hotel surfaced a week ago.

Ntshalintshali (42) is an open political opponent of Tsipane (43) and both come from the Nkangala region, where regional leader Speedy Mashilo sides with Ntshalintshali and threatens to make the region a no-go area for Tsipane.

Her alleged Ben 10 Mbuso Thumathi (35) allegedly went straight to her rival faction to allegedly sell the audio in order to get money.

The Tsipane faction is supported by all of her cabinet members, except co-operative government Mandla Msibi who sides with Ndlovu in internal battles.

The ANC is preparing to celebrate a 108-year of its existence in the eMalahleni area the coming Saturday, where both Ndlovu and national treasurer Paul Mashatile will address.

The eHlanzeni region plans to have an elective congress before March 2020. They want controversial and flamboyant leader Ngrai Ngwenya to serve as regional deputy chair while Gillion Mashigo becomes chair.

It will then contest with Ndlovu’s preferred Jackie Macie who is preferred for position of regional chair.
