The EFF says she is another in Mpumalanga who deals in the sale of RDP houses.
A case of corruption has been laid against eMalahleni ANC councillor Hessy Maseko after being accused of selling RDP houses.
The EFF says the government-built homes are sold for anything between R20 000 and R35 000.
The case was opened on 5 June 2020 by the EFF in the Witbank area…
Sources said Maseko faces an “imminent arrest”.

Maseko is the MMC for finance in the eMalahleni municpal council and previously served as MMC for housing.
The EFF says they have all the evidence, including proof of payments made to Maseko’s bank accounts for people in need of shelter to get RDP houses.

“She is no stranger to controversy as she is having a similar case pending against her,” EFF leader Collen Sedibe said.
During her time as housing MMC Maseko presided over one of the biggest RDP township developments ever undertaken by the provincial department of human settlements, the Siyanqoba township on the north-west borderline of eMalahleni towards Verena.
When fully completed the Siyanqoba township will comprise of 9 000 RDP houses and a further 17 000 privately developed stands.
The DA as well as human settlement MEC Norah Mahlangu have condemned the sale of RDP houses in the eMalahleni area.
DA councillor Aaron Khumalo said RDP housing “is a thorny issue countrywide”.
“It has become a commercial activity for corrupt politicians and dishonest recipients alike,” Khumalo said.
Mahlangu said the illegal selling of RDP houses is both “disturbing and distraughting“.
“The department strongly condemns this form of thuggery in the strongest possible terms. It has come to the attention of the department that an official has been defrauding residents by soliciting money from needy beneficiaries,” she said in a statement dated 8 June 2020.
