YCL national leader Tinyiko Ntini is reportedly amongst a score of SACP leaders who have tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
It is still not clear when the Mpumalanga-born young communist leader got infected.
According to a poster released by the SACP this week, Ntini as well as the communist party’s central committee members Sdumo Dlamini and Gwede Mantashe as well as SACP national chairman Senzeni Zokwana and deputy national chairperson Thulas Nxesi have the SARS-COV-2 disease.
Mantashe was reportedly admitted to hospital this week, allegedly to ICU.
His wife is currently under quarantine.

Also defence minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula as well as social development deputy minister Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu and justice deputy minister Patekile Holomisa have contracted the virus.
