The eMalahleni local municipality has announced that the area will experience water cuts.

Hospitals, clinics, police stations and schools will be supplied by water trucks during the outage.

There will be “critical maintenance” for close to 12 hours starting from 6 in the morning and to evening – from 3 August 2021.

The municipality said it might take time for the water supply to recover and water is expected to normalize on 5 August.

Residents and businesses in Ga-Nala and Phola/Ogies won’t be affected.

Residents are requested to not use geysers during this period – as this will cause problems when the water supply is restored.
