The cattle will come from his Badplaas farm and will also include Boran and Bonsmara cows which will be sold at the highly valued auction.
President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Ntaba Nyoni farm will again be in the news when 15 of his Ankole cattle are auctioned during the annual auction held at his farm.
Of the nine Ankole cattle belonging to Ramaphosa that featured during last year’s Bull Ring Auction in Davel near Ermelo, one of them fetched R700 000 and all nine of them together gave him R2.7 million.
This time he is putting 15 Ankoles under the hammer at his own farm in Limpopo, called Phala Phala wildlife game reserve on 5 March 2022.

Ramaphosa’s Ankole cattle are from Uganda and can live close to 30 years. They produce both milk and meat.
The auction will also offer Ramaphosa’s Bonsmara and Boran cows.
In 2019, Ramaphosa bought a Boran cattle named Jameson for R500 000 at the Bull Ring Auction.
The calf of Jameson will form part of the Borans to be sold at the 5 March 2022 Ntaba Nyoni Annual Auction.
Ramaphosa is now ranked South Africa’s biggest Ankole farmer.
The 15 Ankoles to be sold at the auction will include 6 bulls and 9 cows as well as the calf of a Bonsmara bull that was bought for R1.5 million.
Back in 2004 Ramaphosa was in Uganda to visit President Yoweri Museveni and began buying Ankoles from Museveni and transporting them to the 5000-hectare Ntaba Nyoni farm.
