The police says it doesn’t mean that the case is over…
A magistrate in Middelburg court has released a knife-wielding man who almost killed a woman on R300 bail.
The 29-year-old Adolf Senamela who is facing a charge of attempted murder, attempted robbery and possession of dangerous weapon is back amongst the community…
He was arrested with a help of a car driver who allegedly saw him chasing the woman with a sharp shiny knife in the streets of Middelburg Wednesday 22 June 2022.
The woman told police that while she walked in town Senamela allegedly appeared from nowhere and drew a knife at her, demanding that she gives her belongings to him which included a cellphone.

She quickly ran away, crossing a street and was almost bumped by a passing car.
The driver of the car stopped when seeing she was being chased by Senamela and asked her what was happening…
The woman then told the story to the driver whilst Senamela tried to run. He immediately chased him while asking security guards to assist in the chase.
He was caught as more people joined in the chase and the police were called to come arrest Senamela.
But when Senamela appeared in court the following day 23 June 2022 the court released him on R300 bail.
Police spokesman Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said releasing Senamela on R300 bail doesn’t mean the case is over.
“His case is not finished as yet but it was only postponed to 02 August 2022 for further investigation,” he said.
